I was "stumbling" around the net and came across this awesome 'full browser' flash video from national geographic. The video itself is stunning, and thought I would share this with everyone that may or may not have seen it before.
To see this for yourself click this link http://www.flashcomguru.com/apps/fullscreen_flash/640_480.htm
Very nice in my opinion.
Anyhow hope you enjoy my find today, and hope everyone is gearing up for a happy new year...

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! I haven't had much time to update the blog, I hope to have more time after new year, hopefully I can call that a new years resolution.
Anyhow at least for now I will leave you with another great song as I usually do when there isn't much going on.
Hope Santa brought you everything you wanted.

Perusing the web and came across this funny yet interesting clip of Dick Cheney discussing Iraq back in 1994 before this new war. Now we know how gung ho he has been with this current conflict, but listen to what he says about invading Iraq back in 1994. Quite interesting really.
Just found it funny how a lot of the people in power will flip flop on any issue given the chance. I doubt there is even a honest person left in politics.

This is a very funny story I ran across while surfing the web looking up various odd news tidbits...
After escaping from an officer who had stopped his pickup for a broken taillight, Robert Sadlon went home and reported his truck stolen. He also shaved his mustache. When the same officer arrived at Sadlon’s house, he saw a pale outline of the just-removed facial hair on his suspect's wind-reddened face. He realized Sadlon was the guy involved in the chase, and not some victim of a truck thief.
The full story can be read here (Tribune-Democrat.com)
I will say the guy tried to play it smart, it just backfired on him.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, not much going on as usual, have a doctors appointment coming up on the 7th, not really looking forward to it. Anyhow not much to update with so going to leave you with a great song by Sarah Brightman from the Phantom of the Opera, Music of the night.
Sunday, November 25, 2007
Well it's late night and couldn't sleep so thought I'd surf web and update blog at least. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are recovering nicely. Mine was pretty decent. Had a smoked turkey given to me by family, and had dressing, cream corn, collard greens and rolls. Was very nice and ate a bit too much, but hey it's thanksgiving, the day of eating too much anyhow.
Nothing much else to report on at this time, I do have my 6 month visit with my cardiologist this Monday, then my local doctor on the 7th as well as a review meeting with d.f.c.s. on the 7th as well for recertification of the little bit of help I receive. So going to be busy this coming week I guess. Then it's time to start getting ready for Christmas... I almost dread this time of year, especially this year when things are so tough...
Anyhow hope everyone is having a great weekend, and hope all your leftover turkey sandwiches are good!
Wednesday, November 21, 2007
I know I'm posting a little early, but hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Don't eat too much Turkey... Save space for the deserts...
I did come across a great bass guitar solo I thought I'd share with everyone.

As usual another weekend passes as I sit here staring at my computer screen. Been listening to a great internet radio station Eve Radio, based on the game Eve Online. Lot of great music and DJ's.
Anyhow as I scour the net looking for the odd news or the weird this week I stumble across this which seems just too crazy to be real...
Full story can be found here on yahoo news.
BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man forgot his car after filling it up at a petrol station, police said Friday.Man forgets car at gas station
"He just forgot about it and walked off home," said a spokesman for police in the western city of Wuppertal.
He must have had a lot on his mind...Or perhaps he was just that absent minded.

Been a semi quiet week, except for Dad, but a little update he's so far doing ok. So thats good. Other than that it's been pretty much same old routine, I did file that appeal for my disability, and still waiting to hear anything from them. I contacted my disability advocate to see if there has been any updates, but nothing as of yet. I hate government red tape.
Anyhow still playing Dark age of Camelot and Eve Online mostly when I have the time. It gives me something to do while waiting. I'd rather be out working, but my doctor doesn't want me to at this time, so it does tend to get boring with no income and my pc. But I do get a lot of reading done (haha).
Anyhow as some may know from previous videos or my profile I'm a big Enigma fan and I haven't posted an Enigma video lately so I'll post an older song of theirs titles "Push the Limits" from their 1999 album The Screen Behind the Mirror
Enjoy and I hope you had a great weekend.
Wednesday, October 31, 2007
Just thought I'd write it down, most will probably not care, but my Dad was admitted to the hospital due to a blockage in his neck. These problems really do run in the family it seems. Anyhow today he had surgery where they went in and reopened the artery similar to what they did to me when I had the heart attack. I called him and he is doing ok, and said he felt fine except for a sore throat, I guess from where they had the breathing tube or something. Anyhow me and pops have never really gotten along very well, but in times like this my prayers go out to him.
Anyhow hate to post bad news but just thought I'd jot it down. My dad has always been a oldschool 1950's type of guy who idolized Elvis Presley and owns all of his albums/8-tracks
So this video is for dear ol' pops.

My Eve Online screenshot was featured this week on the Eve Online VN Forums. Thought I'd post it here as well :) The graphics in Eve are stunning. This is my Drake exiting a station with a moon as the backdrop as you can see. You can click on the thumbnail on the left for the full sized screenshot.

Not much been going on last couple weeks, messing around with Eve Online while waiting on the new upcoming patch for Dark Age of Camelot.
In more personal news, as some may know from previous posts I was denied on my application for disability, and what I call the "waiting game" has started. I've sent in my appeal after being declined for disability. Hopefully this will result in a more positive response. I have a disability advocate filing the appeal on my behalf, perhaps that will prove to be more helpful.
That's about all going on really, and yea rather boring, but I try to keep the blog updated best I can.
Now in the world of stupid news...
I just don't know what to say, this stuff is getting a bit too idiotic. I remember way back when I was in school we always made snide remarks such as "I wish the school would burn down" or "I wish someone would blow up the school". Did we really mean them? NO!
7-year-old suspended over stick-figure drawing
Complaint about image depicting 'water pistol' leads to disciplinary actionDENNIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A New Jersey second-grader's drawing of a stick figure shooting a gun has earned him a one-day school suspension.
Kids make comments all the time or do things that are "at the moment" type things. We've all heard a child scream "I hate you!" but we know they don't mean it. Now don't get me wrong I I'm all for punishing the kids that bring guns to school, but a drawing? Come on, lets get real here.
The problem is schools/government are slowly taking away parental rights, I believe paddling should be in every school, I remember my senior year of high school getting into a fight, did we get suspended? no we both got sent to Principal's office where we both received one hell of a paddling, and we learned our lesson. The problem with today's youth is there is no discipline, parents are afraid to punish their children, and schools are so paranoid someone draws a gun and all hell breaks loose and its on the evening news.
It's a very sad state of affairs this country is turning into...

Thought I'd toss this out, since it is Friday night after all. Everyone get up and dance!
Gotta love Nelly Furtado...Enjoy!
Friday, October 12, 2007
Always seems lately that I'm updating this on Fridays. Anyhow, saw my Doctor this week, wasn't really nothing new, he did give me some Lidocaine patches to try for my back, so going to give those a try. Also discussed my disability application with him and he said he's write a letter for me again for my appeal since I was turned down, which you can read about in a previous post.
So anyhow I posted about telemarketers and bill collectors a while back, but the call volume has tripled. These people are calling every day now. It's getting quite funny, having someone bill collector call one day and ask for money, then call next day demanding money, after I have already explained the situation to them. Now they ask "When can we expect payment?" Well I use the term I heard from a comedian... I reply with "Well you can always expect payment, hell you can expect payment today in fact." Which of course makes them really happy for a second and all I do is stay quiet then. They beg for credit card numbers or checking account numbers, I speak up and say "Oh no, I said you can EXPECT payment today, I never said you'd get payment..." In most cases they just hang up then. Leaving me with a smile on my face.
Now I know they are just doing their job, but calling someone every single day 12 hours apart between harrasing calls gets to be a bit much, what makes them think if they call back 12 hours later I will magically have the money or magically have a job and get my paycheck in a 12 hour time period? Anyhow it is just one of life's aggravations I guess.
Anyhow I've taken my medicine for the night and gonna settle in and get some sleep, so everyone out there I hope you have a great weekend, and be safe most of all.
Friday, October 5, 2007
Happy Friday once again, quiet week, been playing Dark age of Camelot and Eve Online as time permits while cleaning house and working on more forms to fill out for disability, this time for my appeal. I hate government red tape! Anyhow, enjoy this awesome song by Orbital. Very nice song and surreal video.
Friday, September 28, 2007
Not much going on this week (as usual it seems, pretty dull life I guess you could say). They did come and pick up my oxygen, was quite a mess, the oxygen company saying I needed it, but charging me $400/month and was even turned over to collections cause I couldn't afford it to be honest. And my doctor telling me I didn't need it, because I have sleep apnea and oxygen doesn't help, that I would need what they call a 'cpap' machine. Well I can't get one of those until I can get a sleep study test done, but as of right now I can't find a doctor that will agree to do one, due to no insurance.
I did hear from my disability application and of course I was denied. So I'm filing an appeal through my disability advocate. Soon as I can possibly get that going then I can get the sleep study test I need to get the 'cpap' machine.
If you have no insurance in this country it's extremely hard to get any help. It's quite sad, it almost makes ya think (beware tinfoil hat thinking coming) that it's like this on purpose for population control.
Anyhow, been messing around a new mmorpg lately, been playing Eve Online, they also offer a 14 day free trial and is extremely in depth with a very high learning curve so its not really newbie friendly, but the graphics are absolutely stunning, as well as the the ambience is very relaxing. If you're interested you can read more about Eve Online here.
I hope everyone is doing well and be safe this weekend, don't party too hard!
Saturday, September 22, 2007
Absolutely love this song, unfortunately I couldn't find any videos for it, other than it was used for an Eve online promo video. Which isn't too bad since Eve online is a very beautiful game that I also play.
Anyhow no big news going on, just hope everyone is having a great and safe weekend!
should have more updates coming soon, and may readjust some things on the blog, we'll see. Until then hope you enjoy the music.

Great dance song by Robert Miles. Not much going on this weekend. It was my birthday Saturday! Another year gone by, now 31 years old, man I'm feeling age creep up on me.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I have opened up a new forum for our fellow Heretics. For those not familiar for which I speak, Heretic is a class from the game Dark Age of Camelot. Since I've become the teamlead for this great, fun class I thought I would setup a forum for fellow gamers of the heretic to post ideas, share class bugs, different class specs, realm ability setups, and all around tactics. So if you are a Heretic or have played a Heretic in Dark Age of Camelot, feel free to stop by and enjoy our forums.
The forums can be reached at http://camelot.bluecherry.net
The board is an ongoing work, and is under construction, but things are ready to roll out. So enjoy, and hope to meet you there.
And as the CSR's would say...
Thank you for playing Dark Age of Camelot!
Have a great week all!

Dealer calls cops after pot stash stolen
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - A marijuana dealer telephoned police after armed thieves stole his quarter-pound stash of pot. The 19-year-old Felton man told police that two men, one of them armed with a handgun, robbed him at gunpoint as he sat in his car on Tuesday night. It either takes guts or stupidity, but still a hilarious situation regardless.

From the 'Trip-Hop' group Massive Attack, great song Teardrop, AKA theme song to the tv series House. Great song though, thought I'd share the video this weekend, not much else going on.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and Happy September!!!
I can't wait to get this month over with and cool weather to set in...

Happy Monday, haha.
Anyhow, not much been going on. Had a pile of doctor bills show up again, most are threats to turn me over to collections, which I guess will have to be since I'm still waiting to hear back from disability to see if I'm approved or not. I wish I had insurance, this is killing me. Speaking of docs, I do have my local doctor's appointment next week, I'm hoping he can increase my pain medicine since my back pain has been giving me more trouble lately than usual.
By the way I did put a paypal link on the right side of my page, I'm not usually one to beg for donations, but if you feel you could help a poor guy out it would be much appreciated and go toward medical bills and Internet bills so that I can keep this blog going at least, and I can put up an advertisement for your site if you want as well.
Well, thought I'd update things on this Monday afternoon. Not much else going on this week, other than surviving this nasty heat wave in the south.
So stay cool, and have a great week.

Came across this documentary by radio show host Alex Jones of Austin, Texas. It's very interesting to say the least, and has a lot of shocking claims. It was quite "educational" to put it one way.
About the documentary from Alex's own site:
This powerful documentary explores the mindset of the average brainwashed Westerner. It delves deeply in toYou can visit Alex Jones' website by going to http://www.infowars.com
the systems of control which have been scientifically-crafted to imprison their minds and keep their eyes closed to the realities of the world around them.

I guess you could call it, 'too much free time', or you could call it boredom, I don't know, but being temporarily disabled due to heart attack in April, herniated disc in my back, and a pinched nerve in my upper back has given me lots of free time on my hands.
So along with this blog that I update from time to time, I also read quite a lot, and enjoy online games, while waiting to hear back from SSI to see if I am approved for disability or not. So it kinda got me thinking, about adding a new hobby to try out perhaps, I'm still undecided but was thinking of starting a podcast. Of course that's where I kinda draw a blank.
I'm not sure what topic to discuss, I could really do a range of topics from online gaming to state of our health care from a southern poor man's perspective. I guess there are many many podcasts of those such topics. But hey, what's one more?
Anyhow, just thinking 'out loud' so to speak. If anyone has any podcast software suggestions or getting started drop me a line in the comments section. Well, that's all for now, I'll keep ya updated on what I do decide.

Was looking through some security websites, checking up on the latest news and such and came across this article about a new "worm" called Storm. This thing sounds pretty nasty. Some information.
The misnamed Storm Worm isn't actually a worm; it's a bot, used to corral infected computers together into a network called a botnet, which can then be issued commands by a central criminal controller. One common command is to send vast amounts of spam.
The Storm Worm is capable of launching DoS attacks, and has already been used for them. So the huge rise in the malware's spread may mean that its creator is getting ready to expand his revenue stream and rent out his botnet for powerful DoS attacks.
You can find the complete article here at
So make sure your virus scanners and adware software are updated and use firefox in my opinion. Internet explorer usage is just a step away from reformatting and reinstalling your system in my opinion.
Saturday, August 11, 2007
Well it's Saturday and hot as hell here in Georgia. With the humidity the heat index is 110 degrees here today. So it's a hot humid weekend, and aggravating when your central air conditioner isn't working correctly.
Anyhow came across an interesting website, has like the 'conspiracy' side of things but has some interesting videos and articles.
Check it out, lot of interesting stuff to read and watch.
Hope everyone is having a cooler weekend than I am, that's about all I have for right now so I shall say happy weekend till next time...

The headlines: Boss Killed Employees After They Asked For Raise
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Police say a business owner who was having financial problems shot and killed two of his employees after they asked him for a raise.
So next time you ask your boss for a raise.... Be careful. haha
Saturday, July 21, 2007
Once again hope everyone is having a great weekend. Not much to add this week, just been lazy and hanging around the house as usual. Was listening to some old Alanis Morissette stuff, so thought I'd share a video.
Saturday, July 14, 2007
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Nice and quiet Saturday around here. As most know by now from previous posts I'm an Enigma fanatic, so this weekend here is Enigma - Turn around, hope ya enjoy.
Well was crossing fingers for no bad news, and in some ways I got both good news and bad news.
Will start off with the good news, after checking my heart out, the doctor believes all is well on that front, sounded good, great blood pressure at the moment, etc.
As some that may have read my older posts or if you haven't just go threw my older posts if interested, will find I do have a herniated disc in my lower back. Well for past 3 to 4 weeks I've been having this left shoulder pain when I sit for long periods of time or walk for 10 mins or more, the pain would start off at front of shoulder area and migrate to the back right under the shoulder blade but a little to the right.
So my doc believes after running a couple tests that I may have an upper back problem perhaps a slipped disc causing a pinched nerve. He gave me this shot of which I forgot exactly what it was, I do remember him saying it was a steroid with a numbing agent or something, anyhow he located the bundle of nerves that have seem to be a little swollen, or at least feel like a knot under my skin. But oh my god when he hit me with that shot in that nerve bundle I felt like I was shot with a pistol or something, whatever he gave me felt as if I layed my shoulder on a hot stove.
To be honest it really hasn't seemed to help so far, perhaps it wasn't what he thought or maybe it takes longer to start working, cause its really painful at the moment. It does dissappear when I lay down. So thats good at least.
Well on to the pretty good news, he increased my dosage of pain pills due to the double back whammy, and included refill of Soma and new bottle to add to my growing collection Xanax.
So time will tell, I still got a few pounds to lose since my heart attack, still smoke free!, havent had a cigarette since April 19th! So I'm proud of myself on that regard.
Bills are piling up and starting to get the good ol' collection company spam calls and letters. I do recommend that movie Sicko by Michael Moore, I watched it the other day and he really brings some of these issues into the light. It really sucks being uninsured, unable to work, and waiting and begging that disabiity will approve me. If it wasn't for family I really don't know where I'd be right now.
Anyhow the weekend is here, time to lay back and enjoy, and sleep late!
So for everyone out there have a great weekend!!! and be safe!

It's that time again. Time for another great song by Enigma! As you can tell from previous posts I absolutely love Enigma. Anyhow hope you enjoy! The song is Roundabout by Enigma.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! And hope everyone has a great weekend coming up.
Thursday, June 28, 2007
Not much to say really, just thought I'd post on the ol' blog today for an update. Other than playing dark age of camelot, posting on various forums, and the general surfing the web type of stuff I haven't really been doing much of anything. I've been reading a lot, and chatting with friends. Little anxious about an upcoming doctor's appointment next week.
They want to do x-ray's to check on the stints that were placed in my heart after my heart attack. So I'm crossing my fingers that all is well. I found a download of the Michael Moore documentary Sicko, and I can understand 100% what those people go through having no insurance myself and having medical bills since my heart attack coming in the mail totaling upwards of 54 thousand dollars that I have no way of paying. I'm hoping my application with disability will be accepted so that I have some way to get medical help and to pay for all this. It really sucks being broke and unable to work at the moment.
Anyhow the weekend is almost here, so here's an early Happy Weekend for everyone! Before we know it, it will be July 4th so get your fireworks ready!

This is a video of my reaver character back when he was in Molvik, which for those that don't know dark age of camelot (mmorpg), molvik is a battleground for level 35-39 players to pvp. It's a little old but enjoy!
The reaver is now of course level 50 and I posted a recent video of him a couple weeks back but here is a link to my most current video

I was selected to become the new Heretic class teamlead for Dark Age of Camelot. I'm very proud that I was given that chance. I've been playing game since shortly after release and have always been a "Fanboy" so to speak. And I look forward to helping the class out as much as I can.
Some of you that read the blog probably have no idea what I'm talking about so for those that don't know, Dark Age of Camelot is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game).
There website is:
And their game news site is
They also have free trials you can download and give the game a try if you have never played and are interesting in giving it a shot, you can find the links to their trial downloads above.

I've recently read about Ed Brown and his fight against the I.R.S. The story is absolutely amazing, yet scary. My prayers are with him and his family. For more information on what has been going on, this mainly started around January 2007, and as of June 7th it seems the government is getting ready to storm his home. Here you can read an open letter from Ed Brown dates February 1, 2007:
from Keene Free Press
The latest news from Wikipedia
* On June 7, police, SWAT teams, and armored vehicles are seen gathering in a field near the Browns' home. United States Marshal Stephen Monier confirms that one Brown supporter was detained near the Browns' property. Several sources later identify the Browns' supporter as a man named Danny Riley and state that he was detained while walking the Browns' dog, Zoe. Monier's office later releases a press statement indicating that the government agents were not raiding the Browns' home but in the area simply to serve a warrant to the Browns for the seizure of Elaine Brown's dental office in Lebanon, New Hampshire. In the evening of June 7, Riley records a video describing his encounter with and detainment by federal agents earlier that day. In the video Riley claims that one camouflaged agent fired two shots over his head after he fled from the agent once happening upon him hiding in the woods near the Browns' property.
Google Video also has a interview with Ed Brown, you can watch the video here:
Ed Brown IRS Standoff
Ed Brown's Myspace page can be found here at http://www.myspace.com/time2makeastand
We should'nt fear our government, our government should fear the people.

Star Trek actor James Doohan's ashes were shot into space April 28. Recently the ashes have returned to earth. This was an amazing tribute to the great Star Trek actor. The full article can be read below.
Scotty's 'beamed up'
WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, New Mexico (AP) -- A rocket payload that flew briefly into space with ashes of astronaut Gordon Cooper and "Star Trek" actor James Doohan was recovered Friday in the New Mexico mountains.
-Article by Associated Press
Lot of "trekkies" out there including me, grew up with the series and the movies. I even have an autographed card of James Doohan from a Star Trek Collectible Card Game.
Anyhow Rest in Peace Scotty! and thanks for the years of entertainment you brought us.

Don't have much to post tonight, thought I'd share this video, Principles of Lust by Enigma. And being a Friday night I wish everyone a happy weekend!
Sunday, May 27, 2007
Well its a Sunday afternoon, haven't posted in few days so thought I'd post and say hello and hope everyone is having a great weekend. Also an early happy memorial day. It's been quiet lately, I did see my cardiologist on Thursday, and so far everything seems good, was released to start excersize but the weird thing is he scheduled our next appointment in 6 months. I thought that was a bit weird. I do see my local doc this Tuesday though, which I see monthly pretty much.
Anyhow thanks for stopping by, and have a great Memorial day weekend.
Saturday, May 19, 2007
This is a movie I made showing my reaver off a little. It's not the best but thought I'd share, for those that haven't played dark age of camelot, this is pvp footage from in game. Hope ya enjoy.
-Updated- Filefront link died on me, so I uploaded the video to google. All should be working now. Sorry if you tried to view the vid and it was missing, this is now fixed again.

Recently got Adobe Photoshop, never used it before and learning how to use this. So far reading tutorials, the how-to's and watching photoshop vids on youtube. It's a lot of fun, once I start getting the hang of it I'll post a few pictures, perhaps they'll be decent and not get too much criticism.
Anyhow here is a little logo I've worked on for a guild website I'm part of. Just click it for full size.

Awesome cover of Nirvana's Smells like teen spirit song. Hope you enjoy.

So, my blog has been going now a couple months, and I'm not quite sold on the template just yet. So I thought I'd request comments and see what people think, is the black motif a bit overboard, or should something lighter work better? Drop me a comment and let me know what ya think. I may change the layout and see how things go.
Anyhow let me know what ya think.
Also Friday is around the corner so I will go ahead and wish everyone a great weekend, and don't forget Mother's Day coming up.
Tuesday, May 8, 2007
I haven't posted updates in a few days, but that will change soon. Been away dealing with health issues and bills. Hopefully will have all that taken care of soon. In the meantime hope you like the video.

Recently thousands of people have been posting this on digg, a little hex that can lead some into trouble. Below is quote from Digg creator about the many submissions of this number. The key to hd-dvd."But now, after seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, you’ve made it clear. You’d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be."

Little update on my recovery from a heart attack. So far everything seems pretty good, I'm still in the process of quitting smoking, it's now my 10th day smoke free. I've also changed my diet to low sodium, low sugar content. I've still got 2 to 3 weeks of recovery before I'm allowed to start exercising. As far as my new medicines, I'm now on Plavax, Zocor, Altace, Metoprolol, low dose Aspirin. And I just went to my local doctor, the one I discussed in previous posts about having an MRI. Well I got the results of it and I have a herniated disc in my lower back.
The sucky part is no insurance and unable to work at the moment. So I've applied for disability, I have spoken with a disability advocate from the hospital plus my local doc is filling out papers to help me get this started. Right now my medicines are running a little over $200 per month which is crazy. Health care is really tough when your broke. Hopefully the disability will come through for me.
Anyhow I hope everyone is having a great weekend. And be careful out there.

While I'm slowly recovering, thought I'd share another great Enigma video, after my experience the lyrics have a new meaning to me. Enjoy.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Wednesday night I was rushed to hospital where I had a heart attack. I was given a heart catheterizing where 2 stints were placed in my heart. So now I'm recovering, I'm finally home but resting. Anyhow I will probably post more on this later just wanted to give an update.

Well, a little more details I thought I'd share, perhaps there are others with similar issues. I've got high blood pressure, and my doctor says I have a degenerating disc in my lower back. Back pain is so aggravating, It's not too bad laying down or sitting for a bit. It just gets crazy when standing for any length of time or walking.
Really sucks when going to grocery store, halfway through shopping I end up using the buggy as a walker so to speak. The good part is for pain the doctor put me on Vicodin and Soma, most should know what Vicodin is, but Soma is a muscle relaxer, those 2 are little miracles in pill form for me. I'm able to get around better and move without lots of pain.
The depressing part of all this, is I had a great job in Orlando, FL that eventually went out of business, afterward my medical issues have gotten worse, so I'm currently unemployed with no insurance, and it really sucks that it seems that doctors really don't give a rat's ass about people without insurance. I may post in the next couple days ranting about the state of health care here. But I may need surgery on my back, the problem is no insurance, so I'm trying to get on disability hoping that it will come through so I can afford to pay my medical bills.
Anyhow just wanted to rant a little, sometimes writing it down makes ya feel a little better.

In what could be one of the weirdest stories I've heard this week, coming out of Japan, is toilets randomly catching fire. Japanese company Toto Ltd creator of 'high tech' toilets and bidets have been having some problems with their products.
Toto Ltd., known for its high-tech toilets with bidets that have blow-drying, air purification and seat-warming functions, apologized to consumers and offered free checks and repairs after some of its toilets with bidets and heated seats sent up smoke and three caught fire. The report goes on to say no one was injured, But lets say if there was, would you admit it? Getting your bum scorched on the toilet is not something I'd brag about. Who needs high tech toilets anyhow, there are some parts of life that technology shouldn't fool with in my opinion. Anyhow you can read the full article here from Reuters.

In my about me I list dark age of camelot as the game I play but haven't spoken about it yet. For those that don't know, dark age of camelot is a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game). I've been playing dark age now for 5 years. And yes, it's massively addicting. Here is a screenshot of my main character.
If your interested in playing dark age of camelot, you can go to http://www.darkageofcamelot.com and even download the game. I believe they have a 14 day free trial.

Well today ends the weekend, hope everyone out there had a great one. And yea I've still been procrastinating going to doc, I did call hoping to get the MRI results over phone, but no such luck. They want their 50 bucks, so I guess I'll be going in this week to go over everything, and get refills on blood pressure medicines.
Anyhow in other news I came across this article that's pretty wild yet awesome.
You can read the full article here.
102 year old woman gets hole in one.
Elsie Mclean finally reached her dream of hitting a hole in one Thursday. Mclean took to the green in Chico, setting a new world record for the oldest woman, or man, to hit a hole in one. That's amazing, good job though. I doubt I'll be anywhere near as active at that age.

Well I was supposed to call the doctor today to setup a new appointment and to get results of my MRI that I posted about a week ago, but decided to procrastinate and perhaps call them tomorrow. In some ways I'm sorta worried that they may have found something, and in other perhaps not found anything at all. I know I have a degenerating disc in my lower back, but hopefully it isn't too bad. Guess I should call them in the morning.
In other news, it was great hearing from an old friend of mine today. I haven't seen or spoken to him in a few years and was a great surprise to hear from him, that really made my day. My little advice for everyone, if there is an old friend or someone you haven't spoken to in years, look them up and give them a call or an email and brighten some one's day. It does the heart good I guarantee.
Still poking around the web here and there, stay tuned of course, I may just find another weird news story to comment on, or a great video to post.

My daily surfing of the web brought me to this strange story. The headline
Wal-Mart and Target Spy on Their Employees
Here is link to full article from Alternet.
With Target and Wal-Mart acting as though they are entitled to spy on, stalk and imprison their own employees, we are on the road to a full-scale workplace dictatorship. The article lists several intrusive business practices that the companies do to their employees. For example, Justin Kenward, who worked at a Target store in Chino, CA for three years, wrote about his six hour interrogation in 2003, he was wrongfully accused of stealing, but you would think 6 hours is a bit much. It's amazing and I just learned myself that Walmart employs it's own security agency and espionage system that damn near rivals our government's.
It's a sad state of affairs when employees are constantly losing their rights, being spied on, not trusted, and it's especially sad that a lot of our jobs have moved overseas for cheap labor. So we are slowly being stuck with these "dictator"-like companies or unemployment.

Happy Easter everyone. Today is the day of family cookouts, church services, hot dogs, hamburgers, and children hunting those elusive colored eggs.
Today I think I'll break with the norm, and have some seafood. Got shrimp and crab to cook today that I think will hit the spot.
Be careful if you're driving today, and have a happy Easter!

Don't know why it is, but telemarketers seem to swarm to my phone number. Promises of free money, low interest rate loans, satellite television, etc. I've requested many times to be placed on their do not call list, and have signed up on that national do not call list registry, but seems to not be working.
I understand that people have a job to do, but telemarketers really get on my nerves.
You'd think that after telling them not to call back, they'd have the common decency to leave you alone.
Oh well, one of the small evils of life I guess. By the way if your interested in signing up on the national do not call registry, you can find their website here:
National Do Not Call
But so far it doesn't seem to be working for me. Maybe your results will be different.
Great song by Enya. Great music to chill by

Another article of weird news, found this surfing around and was quite a shocker.
this is from the Seattle Times, click here for complete article.
Teen's boyfriend was really a woman, 30, police sayThe 30-year-old woman even conned her 14-year-old "girlfriend's" family into believing she was a 17-year-old boy named Mark Villanueva, according to paperwork filed in Everett District Court. She lived with the Everett family on and off over the past two years and formed a relationship with the 14-year-old girl.
This is just a wild story, when you think the world can't get stranger, stuff like this pops up.
The complete article goes on describing the couple's relationship and more. It's quite a tail, would make for a great network miniseries I guess.

Do you hate small towns? I'm starting to. No Pizza Hut in town, really sucks! I'm craving a nice fatty Pizza Hut special and nearest one is 30 or more miles away. Also being in a small town everything seems to shut down at 5pm, it's like the town flips the sign to closed.
Ya know, if I had the money to open up a delivery fast food joint, I could probably make a killing in this town. Oh well, word of warning, if you tend to be the lazy type at times, avoid the small towns! No delivery, no pizza joints, lends itself for a boring night.
Time to raid the fridge!
From Liverpool Daily Post
A father criticised a police force today for launching an investigation after his ten-year-old son allegedly called a schoolfriend “gay” in an email.
Ok, I know name calling is childish, but the boy is a child, what is this world coming to? Are we now going to have thought police?
Stuff like this sickens me.

Well, another quiet and boring weekend passes. Haven't really been up to much, reason I haven't added a new post in a couple days. New meds seem to be doing pretty good, Had my MRI last Thursday. That was intense.
MRI's suck, being shoved in this tight space for an hour while listening to what sounds like birds on acid chirping at the volume of an Ozzy Osbourne concert. But glad that's over, now to just wait on the results and see if all is well. So here's crossing fingers that nothing too bad is wrong with my back.
Anyhow that's about it for the moment, hope everyone had a great weekend.

Well got back from the doctor's office. I feel like a walking pharmacy now, from a previous post, I explained the problems to the doc, but I just got loaded down with 2 new meds to add to my regiment.
Vicodin and Lisinopril
so 2 blood pressure pills per day and Vicodin to go with my back pain.
Zombieland here I come, I guess...
Anyhow, will post some new stuff or whatnot little later.
Saturday, March 24, 2007
Hopefully your weekend is going swell. Still fighting over my meds side effects that I explained in a previous post, and fighting a bit of a sore throat this weekend, other than that all is well. I've recently applied for SSI, it has been a couple weeks since I mailed back the papers they sent me. So crossing fingers to hear something soon.
Still playing dark age of camelot, been playing almost since the game started, the population sure has dropped and it's a lot quieter around "camelot" but me and my guild are still pushing on. I'm not playing as much as I used to play, which can be seen as a good thing to some. But I'm still hopelessly addicted, usually playing around 2 to 4 hours a day.
Anyhow I'll probably post some new stuff later, just thought I'd ramble a little bit.

Thursday, March 22, 2007
First off to explain I have high blood pressure and a degenerative disc in my lower back. Anyhow the doctor has me on several meds, but the main 3 at the moment are:
Soma (muscle relaxer)
Ultram (for pain)
Metoprolol (for blood pressure)
Now I'm supposed to take the Metoprolol twice a day, Soma every 8 hours or as needed, and Ultram every 8 hours or as needed.
The problems these things have been given me is severe drowsiness, lethargy, and a little queasy feeling in the ol' stomach. I've called my doctor but the assistant just transfers me to voicemail, But I do have an appointment this Monday. Hopefully the doc can get this crap squared away and put me on something so I don't feel like a zombie all the time.
Well, that's enough babbling at the moment, just wanted to rant a little.
Bored tonight, health issues acting up, one day I guess I'll have to go into detail about the issues, but anyhow I'll just say extreme back pain tonight, and headache.
Took some medicine for it, Doc has me on muscle relaxer and a pain killer so hoping those kick in soon. Been surfing web reading crazy news stories and stuff. Was going to log in my game (dark age of camelot for those that don't know) but think I'll just let the pain subside and go on to bed.
Anyhow this is a complete boring update, but hopefully I will have some fun or weird stuff to post soon.
Anyhow for those that have stumbled across the site, have a good night!

Sitting here surfing the web, as I usually do most afternoons, I came across what has got to be the wierdest disease ever.
Anyhow without further ado...
Growing numbers of Japanese women are afflicted with an illness that gives them orgasms virtually 24 hours a day. And with suggestions that it could be deadly, the women hardly know whether they're coming or going, according to Shukan Post (11/24).
Dunno how real this is supposedly, but thats got to be the wackiest thing I ever heard of. If I caught that disease, I'd never leave the house...
Oh wait a minute, I never leave the house anyway... ah well
I had forgotten about this song, but heard it earlier today on the radio, thought I'd see if youtube had the video and of course they did, so here it is.
