CIA using Viagra as bait?

Surfing the web I came across this odd bit of news. The CIA using Viagra to entice Afghan warlords into giving up information. A bit twisted in my opinion but a quote from the article.

In one case, a 60-year-old warlord with four wives was given four pills and four days later detailed Taleban movements in return for more.

"Whatever it takes to make friends and influence people," the Post quoted one agent as saying.

"Whether it's building a school or handing out Viagra."

You can read the full article here at the BBC.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone, although I'm a bit late posting, according to clock here it's 2:23 am which means officially it's over. But better late than never I guess. One of my usual sleepless nights, so I find myself browsing the web while waiting on drowsiness to kick in. I really do enjoy that stumble plugin for firefox. Makes random surfing much nicer.

Anyhow Happy Holidays!

7 Pounds

I just recently watched the movie 7 pounds starring Will Smith and Rosario Dawson. I am usually not a big fan of dramas, but this movie was great. The title is an allusion to the Shakespeare play Merchant of Venice, and this movie is about redemption. There is a little twist to the plot I won't reveal here, I'll just say it is definitely a must see. Below is the trailer for the movie. Be warned you may need tissue when seeing this one, it's a real tear jerker.

Starring: Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, Michael Ealy, Barry Pepper, Woody Harrelson

This had to hurt!

Surfing around the net and of course we all come across the odd story or some bizarre sites or images.
Anyhow I came across this newspaper clipping that is not only funny but certainly makes ya cringe.

Amazing what ya find surfing the web.

Macy's Parade Rickrolled

Very surprising to see, but during the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade in the middle of a float dedicated to a kids cartoon the crowd and television audience was hit with "rickroll" the old standby internet "meme". But what made this one different is the man himself was there to sing it.

Starting to sell items in Second Life

XstreetSL logo

Hello everyone, been a few days since I made a post. Thought
I'd post an update... As I've posted in past I play Eve Online but I have been 'dabbling' in Second Life. Mainly due to having fun building and writing scripts for objects there which is really fun.
Well I finally started an "online store" of my second life items through a service called Xstreet SL. Xstreet SL allows players to put their creations in a 'box' or vendor they provide which uploads the information about the object to their website. Which can then be edited with more info and screenshots uploaded about the item and people can browse and purchase these items on the website and they then get automatically delivered to the person's character inside second life.

Anyhow it's fairly new for me setting this up and getting some inventory to attempt to sell. But so far so good. It's a great service and makes things very easy and super cheap especially for those not able or wanting to purchase or rent a store front inside second life.

To see the items I have for sale in second life you can visit my webstore Here at XstreetSL.

To visit XstreetSL's main website you can go to

I plan to try and keep adding new items weekly or bi-weekly as best I can. So for those that are in second life keep checking often. And for those interested in trying out Second Life you can totally free at

3d Sculptie and Photoshop texturing with Second Life

Recently started messing around with 'sculpties' in Second Life. I downloaded a program called Wings 3D, and used it to make a 3d sculpture map which I can then upload the sculpture map into Second Life and apply textures. As I'm very new at playing around with 3d sculpture software my following examples are what I would call "newbie" level at the moment.

Hopefully the more experience the better and more detailed these will become. But for example below is couple examples of 3d sculpted objects created in Wings3d.

Rocket created in Wings3d

And a rook chess piece in Wings3d

Once uploaded into Second Life I took some screenshots of the 3d model with a texture and without a texture. Photoshop used for the texture.

Sculpted rook chess piece textured and without a texture inside second life.

Sculpted rocket textured and without a texture inside second life.

Sculpted mushroom textured and without a texture inside second life.

Well that's it so far in my jump into experimenting with 3d sculpties and texturing using a mixture of Photoshop, Wings3D in Second Life. There are many tutorials to getting started with sculpties within second life so to get people started visit this link and it gives a rundown of using Wings3d for your Second Life sculpties and using Photoshop for texturing them.

Smart Apes: Starts fire, Writes, Plays Pacman

Came across this very wild video, it's 17 minutes long but is a video explaining Savage-Rumbaugh's work with bonobo apes, which can understand spoken language and learn tasks by watching, forces the audience to rethink how much of what a species can do is determined by biology -- and how much by cultural exposure.

Susan Savage-Rumbaugh has made startling breakthroughs in her lifelong work with chimpanzees and bonobos, showing the animals to be adept in picking up language and other "intelligent" behaviors

Slow week again

It's been another slow week, haven't updated the blog in a few days. Thought I'd post something, at least keep the spider webs from accumulating. In previous posts I had mentioned that I was playing Eve Online which is a mmorpg (massive multiplayer online role playing game). It's been a lot of fun, last month I hit my one year mark in that game which is kinda cool.
I've been venturing out more into dangerous territory to give the more pvp side of things a try, and took a screenshot I'll show here. This is what is called a 'Jumpbridge' which allows one to travel different systems bypassing the stargates. For those not in the know that's geekspeak for "Makes moving around a lot easier"

Eve Online Jumpbridge
Click for larger image.

Anyhow thats about it. Nothing much going on, just playing the waiting game with my disability attorney while enjoying some Eve Online and trying not to pay too much unneeded attention to the current economy debacle and political circus going on. I guess I should pay closer attention and perhaps I may even write a boring blog entry about it... Or maybe not, could be too boring even for me.

Anyhow hope everyone is having a great week!

Outsourcing Rant

Now I won't claim to be any expert on the subject of outsourcing or economics but this is just my opinion from someone who has two points of view on an issue I perceive to be a growing problem here in America. Warning this post will be a little longer than my usual posts.

I had a recent run in with calling up the phone company and of course talking to someone that could barely understand english much less speak it. I know many people that have had this same experience. Now not only an aggravation when customers have to deal with barely english speaking people but the bigger problem is the millions of jobs that have been lost due to companies stabbing us in the back by outsourcing everything to countries like India where they do not have to provide anywhere near the pay or benefits that they would pay to an American employee. I can understand trying to save money, but when it comes to providing low quality service to customers then when does this become a liability for companies that do outsource to foreign countries all to try and save a dollar?

Yes I am a bit disgruntled from 2 points of view, one point of view I have is I lost two jobs due to my work being shutdown and outsourced to India and second point of view is from being in the position of a customer having to deal with this low level of service many times over the phone.

The sickest part is they use fake names to make themselves have "American" names and this is trained. And I've actually seen an India training tape for Convergence (where I worked a few years ago) where they are told they have to pick names such as John, Bob, Jane, etc to make them self have a more American feel and are given speech classes on American accents so they can try and attempt to speak our slang to sound more American. But the problem is it makes them sound even more stupid and makes it worse trying to understand them with such strong accents combined with attempted American "slang". For example here is a few video's about this practice, it's plain sickening and infuriating:

There are tons of examples of training videos and such on youtube you can search for more info.

4 minute video with Jason Alexander also putting outsourcing into perspective

The most annoying part is being told to contact customer service for a specific inquiry, I call and for almost 10 minutes I am repeatedly told "Sir reboot your pc and your modem" I on the other hand am asking to verify a charge for a recent upgrade to my service, the support guy calling himself "Johnny" but has the thickest Indian accent you ever heard is getting frustrated and repeating his "reboot your pc, and click the blue E!" Where I will admit I do lose my temper and tell the guy to transfer me to an American whereabouts he says no need to be racist, but I reply very upset that I am not being racist I am being patriotic, my service is America, the companies headquarters are in my same state, and either I will speak to an American or cancel my service and finally he complies.

Now there are many examples of the aggravations thousands if not millions of customers have to deal with day in and day out. But the problem is our economy here in America, as many know, is "going down the toilet" so to speak. From many different reports around the net and from various news sources that I've hunted the number of Americans that have lost jobs just to outsourcing to India is in the 2 million to 3 million figure. See this page for more facts about lost jobs, etc.

Now think about our economy hitting rock bottom, people losing their homes, unemployment, the poor, and the uninsured on the rise. I myself am uninsured and dealing with many health problems of my own that I can't get much help for due to no insurance. I'm not saying outsourcing is all to blame but it's a big part. The problem just goes all the way to the top so-called "patriotic" American corporations outsourcing overseas so they can pay slave wages to India and bypass certain taxes and above that the board of directors on these companies which are mainly heads of banks and lobbyists which keeps going up and up, and you notice there is no such thing as Democrat or Republican anymore only difference is in their names both are selling this country out and it is nothing but acts of treason.

Turning America slowly into a third world country, think about it, millions of lost jobs just to outsourcing, the dollar not worth anything, people losing homes, so we the people are out of money, yet they want to use our own tax money to bail out the bankers and brokers that ultimately trickle down to these companies that keep sending our jobs overseas. So how in the hell do they expect us taxpayers to bail out the very people that refuse to open up jobs here in America yet sell us out to other countries.

Yes this is a long post this time, and I'm a bit disgruntled and if you would like to know who the company in India that takes all our jobs then look no further than WiPro Technologies. Wipro is one company that takes calls for over 300 U.S. companies. For an excerpt from their Wikipedia entry:

[Wipro Technologies has over 300 customers across U.S., Europe and Japan including 50 of the Fortune 500 companies. Some of its customers are Nortel, Boeing, BP, Cisco, Ericsson, IBM, Microsoft, Prudential, Seagate, Sony, HP, Windriver, Airbus, Toshiba, Windstream Communications, Dun and Bradstreet and Wal-Mart]

As far as what can we do, there are few things like refuse doing business with companies that outsource, but that is darn near impossible nowadays as it's gotten too big and everyone is outsourced anyways. Another is to write the companies or email them and tell them your dissatisfaction with taking away jobs from the very country they claim to support, also spreading the word about the lies these companies spew, for example even a company with America in it's title America Online you would think that's a great American company? No, it's also outsourced to India. And if you watched the AE channel documentary John & Jane Toll-Free they are even starting to outsource drive through fast food restaurants to India which blows my mind.

Anyhow thanks for putting up with my long rant here, I wrote an email to a friend of mine and If you would like to read it and an excerpt of one of my phone calls you can click here for a laugh.

Also just to lighten the mood for a quick laugh or two. Lets enjoy Foamy the squirrel's take on this:

Well it's that time of year again... Happy Birthday to myself.

Yep good ol' September 15th, the day which will live in infamy... At least for this poor bastard. Hard to believe how fast time flies. Born in Atlanta, Georgia September 15, 1976...Mother always called me a bicentennial baby, but it seem just like yesterday I was climbing trees, scraping knees, begging for a pet dog, getting spanked for talking back. Then the years pass and then it's high school, marching band, cliques and niches... From my era it was the "headbangers, preppies, nerds, jocks" of course I always hung out with the preppies but made grades like the headbangers...(no offense to any real headbangers I use the term in jest of course).

Time flies once again and I'm married and learning the mistake of getting married too early and not having ones life in order and not prepared for what it had to offer due to choices made or not made, of course divorce follows years later and things once again change...

My clock spins again and now I find myself at 30 thinking all was well, when all the sudden I had a heart attack at midnight while sitting in front of my pc. What the hell I even say to myself, a 30 year old having a heart attack? That's just not right... but years of great health led one to believe all was well in the world and neglected yearly physicals and checkups so now I learned first hand why it's called the silent killer.

Now fast forward to now... 32 years on earth, and wonder how many more I got? Only time will tell. It's been a hell of a ride, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I think today I will break with my heart smart diet and have a nice juicy t-bone steak, a bake potato and a slice of texas toast. And I will raise my glass and toast myself for good health with a grin.

Some interesting events that happened on the date of my birth September 15, 1976:

From Here and Here

  • Valery F. Bykovsky and Vladimir Aksenov are launched on September 15 on the Soyuz 22 mission, during which they take Earth resource photographs. Where they spent 8 days in Earth's orbit.

From dMarie Timecapsule:
  • President at the time of my birthday: Gerald Ford
  • The average price of gas on my birthday: $0.60/gal
  • The national minimum wage was: $2.30/hr

And the good part, the #1 song on September 15, 1976...

Modern day Robin Hoods

Reuters logo

Interesting article coming from Reuters news service. "Robin Hoods" steal at the store, give to the poor?

Greek anarchists stormed a supermarket on Thursday and handed out food for free in the latest of a wave of raids provoked by soaring consumer prices.

About 20 unarmed people, mostly wearing black hoods, carried out the midday robbery in the northern city of Thesaaloniki, police said.

Local media have labeled the raiders "Robin Hoods" following previous raids.

They take only packets of pasta, rice and cartons of milk which they drop in the middle of the street for people to collect, a police official said.

"They have never stolen money or hurt anyone. They ask people to remain calm but use ambush tactics, jumping over cash desks," he said.

"When they attack without hoods, people are surprised to see that they are mostly women."

A bit odd, I wonder do people think of them as good guys? or bad guys? would be an interesting poll to see how people thought.

Taking a peek into Second Life

Second Life logo

I have heard as well as read many stories some good, some bad regarding a game called Second Life. For those that do not know

From 'What is Second Life':

Second Life® is a 3-D virtual world created by its Residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by millions of Residents from around the globe.

You can get the full information from the link above. They offer free account and you can download the client go to

So anyhow I've taken a peek for the past 10 days, and at times it can be really boring with seemingly nothing to do, since it's just a 'sandbox' style enviroment. But they do have many live events such as concerts, discussion round tables, classes on just about everything from being a newbie in second life to all sorts of real life issues and such.

A big draw I see is the totally open world and the ability to build and script objects which you can sell for in game money known as lindens. Second life does have real money to in game money transfer system where you can buy in game money or even sell your in game money for real life cash.

It has been interesting meeting new people outside of conventional mmorpg's and have been shocked that some of the stereotypes regarding second life that Ive seen from other gamers from other mmo's are not true, or at least not so in your face as others would have you believe.

Anyhow just thought I'd write a snippet explaining what I've been up to lately. If you are a second life user and would like to send me a message or donate some lindens to a grateful newbie (wink wink) my character's name is Cito Karu.

If you would like to view video tutorials about second life from getting started, building, and just about everything you can check out Torley Linden's video blog on youtube.

Alex Jones - Truth Rising Documentary

Alex Jones' new controversial documentary
9/11 Chronicles part one Truth Rising is now out.

The documentary provides an in-depth look at the plight of 9/11 first responders, many afflicted with serious health problems from the toxicity of Ground Zero. Truth Rising reveals and challenges the astounding arrogance and negligence of the government in regard to the heroic efforts of first responders, police, and fire-fighters. Truth Rising indicts the administration of Rudy Giuliani and that of the EPA and Christine Todd Whitman, who proclaimed the air in lower Manhattan was safe to breathe, contrary to numerous warnings to the contrary.

The Georgia Death Penalty - Then and Now

Georgia Electric Chair

Many people across the United States have their own strong opinions on the death penalty. It is a very controversial subject that many times just leads to more arguments and fights. I myself being born and raised in the state of Georgia and interested in the politics of this state have come across released audio tapes of 2 Georgia state executions from 1984 which I will get to shortly.

In 1984 Georgia still used electrocution as it's main form of execution. A brief history of our forms of execution are from 1735 to 1924 the legal method of execution in Georgia was hanging. The sheriff in the county or judicial circuit where the crime was committed carried out the execution. The last legal execution by hanging occurred on May 20, 1925. Gervis Bloodworth and Willie Jones (both white males) were hung in Columbus, Georgia for a murder that occurred in Taylor County. From 1924 to 2001 electrocution has been Georgia's form of execution. In 2001 the Georgia supreme court ruled anyone who commits a capital crime after May 1, 2000, and receives a death sentence, will be executed by lethal injection and those sentenced to death prior to May 1, 2000 will receive electrocution.

Which brings us to two audio tapes from 1984 that had been leaked. They were recorded internally by the Georgia Department of Corrections as a secret official record of the executions.
Ivon Ray Stanley

The first recording is of Ivon Ray Stanley, electrocuted on July 12, 1984. Stanley was convicted of being an accomplice, but not the trigger man, in the murder of an insurance salesman. The man convicted for the direct killing had his death sentence commuted to life in prison. Ivon Ray Stanley had an IQ of sixty-two

Alpha Otis O'Daniel StephensThe second recording is of a botched execution of Alpha Otis O’Daniel Stephens on December 12, 1984. His was called a botched execution since it took more than one electrocution. Stephens remained alive after the initial two-minute jolt to his body. He was electrocuted again after doctors pronounced him still alive following a six-minute pause. The original recording was was more than 20 minutes the following is a condensed version of the recording to remove the lengthy pauses.

If you want to download the above mp3 files instead of streaming them you can download them here.

Execution audio of Alpha Otis O'Daniel Stephens December 12, 1984
Execution audio of Ivon Ray Stanley July 12, 1984

The above audio gives a brief glimpse into Georgia death penalties from 1984. Georgia was one of the last states that used electrocution as a method of execution. And this audio, among others that were released, put pressure on our state supreme court to declare that this was cruel and unusual punishment. And the State of Georgia then shifted to lethal injection, which some say has worked equally as barbarically as electrocution did, depending on which side of the death penalty argument you are on.

Happy Wednesday

Nothing much going on last few days. I did get a letter from my disability attorney explaining that my hearing could be anywhere from 3 months to 1 year but they are pushing to get the hearing as soon as possible. I'm really disliking all the red tape to go through just to get a little help. It's been insane over a year of this so far. Oh well perhaps my luck will change for the better soon.

In other news, been having some renovations done around the house, had windows replaced with much more energy efficient ones. And this week been having guys get the house ready to be repainted. Family members have been helping me out to get this project done, more as a gift. Which is pretty nice, it will be really nice when it's all done. The small annoying part is getting woke up at 7am to hammering and scraping as they remove the old paint and smooth things up in preparation for repainting.

Anyhow just thought I'd post a quick update on the personal stuff. Not much else going on, been playing Eve Online more lately, since I'm no longer playing Dark Age of Camelot. Eve is a great game, the politics and drama that exist in that game is insane at times but overall is what makes it really entertaining as it's more of a "sandbox" game compared to the level grinds of Dark Age of Camelot or other similar fantasy genre mmorpgs.

Will hopefully post a new video or odd news article in next day or two so check back, you may find something interesting from time to time.

Great Documentary on Nikola Tesla

Came across this great documentary of famed scientist Nikola Tesla who I find just absolutely amazing how far ahead of his times he truly was. This documentary goes into his experiments with free energy, scalar, wireless energy, experiments in weather modification, and even particle beam weaponry that is now being used by today's governments even though Tesla was deemed a "Kook" in his time.

Teacher fired for "Wizardry"???

Ok, I usually surf web and come across weird news stories but this one has got to be the weirdest so far.

Teacher from Pasco county Florida was fired for "Wizardry" this week. A quote from the article goes on to say:

Substitute teacher Jim Piculas made a toothpick disappear, then reappear in front of a classroom at Rushe Middle School in Land O' Lakes, Florida. The Pasco County School District says there were several other performance issues, but none compared to his "wizardry."

"I get a call the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue. You can't take any more assignments. You need to come in right away.' I said, 'Well, Pat, can you explain this to me?' 'You've been accused of wizardry,'" Piculas explained.

You can find the full article here at WFTV News Website.

Very Odd.

Edit: Here is a video on the subject from The Young Turks a video show on youtube, giving information about the above news story.

Been very busy

I've been very busy this week with work on my house getting new windows installed/framed, and have had a couple meetings phone and in person with my disability attorney getting things organized and waiting to get a court date. And of course doctors appointment this week, was supposed to be tomorrow but forgot to call in the appointment today so that will have to be done tomorrow.

Also in the world of gaming some bad news for those I represented as Heretic teamlead in dark age of camelot. I am no longer able to be the class teamlead and will cut and paste what I have posted on the Heretic Forum I also run which can be located at

Some things happened more abruptly than I had planned, but anyhow I will no longer be serving as Heretic teamlead. The position will be opening up and one of you from the community better get! :)

I'm so thankful and privileged for the time I had being the team lead. We have gotten some great changes that were long overdue and I've fought tooth and nail for us. A big thanks to everyone that supplied me logs, screenshots, bug info, etc. It's the community that ultimately got us where we are today. So again I want to say thank you to the heretic community for helping me and this class be as good as it should be.

There is still things left undone that I wish I could be done, but they will have to be taken up by a new leader who will champion our class for us. Never lose faith in your teamleads, I do see the sarcasm that does occur, but we are in there fighting and petitioning the cause at every chance we get for the players and our classes.

I'm not sure what the future has in store for me, I will be willing to update any new teamleads on what I had in mind and the stuff I was looking at if they would be interested.

I want to thank Roadkillinz the previous teamlead for helping me get situated when I first became teamlead and has helped us and supported several of the issues I brought forth to the devs.

I do not plan to take the Heretic Forums down, I will leave it up as long as needed. Also if any of you do become teamlead and would like to use this forum on occasion please feel free and let me know and I can add you as an admin if you want.

Guys, its been a fun ride, and although a bit saddened and how things didn't go exactly as planned and all this happened a bit quicker than I wanted, but I hope that in the community's eyes I did some good for the heretic and that I won't be seen as a "lame duck" teamleader but as someone who loved the class and fought for us.

Again thank you to everyone, the heretic community is the best! And never change! It takes all types to make a community and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The Heretic community has been awesome!

To see this post above and would like to post comments in the forums feel free to visit

Anyhow other readers not familiar with Dark age of Camelot may not know what I'm even talking about my apologies, things will hopefully be back to normal soon.

Hope everyone had a great weekend even though this is Wednesday, really looking forward to the upcoming weekend!

Weekend coming

Hello everyone, I haven't updated the blog in a little while, not been feeling well. Having a problem with a pinched nerve that just wants to be a major pain in the arse...

Anyhow some updates on my disability stuff, I finally now officially have an attorney and have had a couple phone interviews with them, they were wanting me to come into their office. But they are about 2 hours from me, so they've let me do phone interviews for now.

The bad news is they've told me it could be anywhere from 3 months to 1 year before I can get a court date to prove my disability. So the bills pile up higher and things will probably get a lot tougher before things start looking up. Of course hopefully my attorney can finally get things going for me and maybe much faster I hope.

Well thats enough dreary news... Got some home renovation coming up this coming week, this old house I live in which was built back in the 70's is having problem with the windows. The old window frames seem to be getting a little brittle, so this Monday got some workers coming in to replace the windows in the house. Which will be a nice addition.

Anyhow that's about it for now, hopefully everyone will have a great weekend!

Dark age of Camelot - Heretic Template

A lot of people have been asking me for the template I use in Dark age of Camelot a mmorpg by Mythic Entertainment. For those never heard of it you can find the their website here Dark Age of Camelot.

Anyhow there is a link on the right side under my Favorites list for my template, but for those not seeing or noticing it you can click on this link to get to my template.

Of course it's not the best, but a lot are interested in what I'm using so there ya go. That link also has all the information on the items I use along with few sample chat logs of melee damage, etc.

Personal update...

Well yesterday had an appointment with my disability mediator and signed a ton of papers and will be assigned an attorney for the next phase of my trip down disability lane. The amount of red tape and legal mess to go through is absolutely insane. I had to sign about 20 papers, fill out about 10 and go through yet another interview process. Then we discussed what to expect with the attorney, fees and all.

So that is where it's at now. Now once again I get to play the waiting game... Hopefully this time it will go a little faster.

Anyhow not the greatest of news but not the worst, the weekend was good, although started yesterday when I woke up I now have a sore throat which was worse this morning so been using some throat spray (generic chloroseptic). So my last couple days have really sucked.

But here's hoping things get better as the week progresses. By the way hope everyone had a great and funny April Fool's day. I really loved Google's Virgle and clicking on any featured videos on got you "rickrolled".

Great stuff.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Blog!

Well it's been 1 year since I started the blog, and this is also the 1 year anniversary of my heart attack. Quite a moment of reflection... A lot of new things have come and old habits have gone. I learned that we are not promised another day, and that it can all be over in a blink of an eye. It's been a really scary time and to some extent it still is.

I've also learned of all the government red tape regarding disability and SSI. It's been hell and been through 2 denials and working on a 3rd appeal and going to court over the whole mess. So wish me luck at least.

It's been a year of good music, weird news stories and occasional updates on real life, and hopefully can keep things going for yet another year. To some this may be the epitome of boring, but at least it gives me place to jot down thoughts and post some interesting and cool stuff from time to time.

For those that have read through the pages, thanks for coming a long, and hope you will occasionally visit in the future.

And as usual the weekend approaches so everyone have a great weekend!

Watch out for some chinese women...

washing feet picture

This was a funny yet disturbing news article I ran across this week. A new bride in China burned her new husband alive for refusing to wash his feet.

From the article:

A Chinese bride burned her new husband to death after he got into bed after a drunken argument without washing his feet, state media reported on Wednesday.

"Wang and his wife, Luo, were married on February 2. The couple, however, frequently fought over trivial things while still on their honeymoon," the official Xinhua news agency quoted a local newspaper as saying.

You can read the whole story here at Yahoo News.

Note to self: If I wind up married...Remember to wash feet!

Good Job Pakistan

Was reading about Pakistan's move to block Youtube content which led to all sorts of problems. Of course what governments that try to block specific content on the internet do not realize is the ease of bypassing these restrictions. There are thousands of anonymous proxy services online, as well as Http/TCP/UDP tunneling applications that make such restrictions laughable.

There is no use in trying to censor the internet or forcing a nation's people to try to conform to some ideology or "code of conduct". The people will always find ways around censorship, it's too easy and programmers/software will always be one step ahead of the bureaucrats.

Anyhow, not only was Pakistan trying to block Youtube, but inadvertently caused a huge outage across the world to Youtube.

An Internet expert likened the cause of the outage to "identity theft" by a Pakistani telecommunications company, which accidentally started advertising itself as the fastest route to YouTube.

Read the full article Here on MSNBC.

I wonder what those crazy Pakistanis will be up to next

911 Spammer Arrested.

Surfing web this evening came across an odd bit of news. Guy out of California was arrested for making more than 27,000 calls to 911 emergency service on his cellphone.

a quote from the original article:

HAYWARD, Calif. - Authorities have arrested a prolific 911 cell phone caller who is believed to have made more than 27,000 emergency calls, overwhelming California Highway Patrol and Hayward 911 systems.

The 911 calls started flooding in last May. The caller responded to emergency operators with bodily noises, muttering and pressing beep tones.

Someone has just too much time on their hands in my opinion...

The weekend...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just thought I'd toss an update on the blog. Not really much to update with. As far as health goes still waiting to hear from disability, in March it will make 1 year since I first applied. The red tape to go through is insane and aggravating. This April will mark 1 year since my heart attack, good news is I'm still here (so far), the bad news is having one in the first place, and the mountain of bills and bill collectors that have drove me crazy over the year.

Anyhow, it's the usual same old stuff around here. Well this post turned out to be a small downer but ah well...

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend, and hopefully will have some new video or funky news article next post.

Blast from the past

It's been a really slow start to the new years, I had my monthly Doctors appointment on the 7th, and got good news and bad news as usual. Good news is he has changed my monthly appointment to every other month now in part to help save on cost, $50 a visit gets tough when ya don't have it. Bad news is I still need a sleep study due to very bad sleep apnea but can't find anyone to do one due to no insurance. My disability case has now moved into 2nd phase of the appeal process and I was notified I have a new 'adjudicator' now. So crossing fingers... That will help so much if it goes through.

Anyhow to change the subject onto more lighter matters, found a song I had totally forgot about but was pretty much a 1 hit wonder from the 90's. It's a break with the normal music I post on my site but still a good song anyhow. This is Breeders with Cannonball

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! 2007 gone and 2008 fresh and new. What will this year have in store for us? Will things change? Will my medical situation get better? Will someone give a damn?

All these questions and many more pop up and may hopefully be answered on our trek through 2008. A year for politics some will say, and to others not caring much, it's just another number.

One year closer to the end of the world you may think. And you'd be right. So let's continue down this path and see what 2008 has in store for us, perhaps it will be fun or at least interesting...

Once again, Happy New Year!!!
