Titicut Follies is a black and white 1967 documentary film by United States filmmaker Frederick Wiseman about the treatment of inmates / patients at Bridgewater State Hospital for the criminally insane, a Massachusetts Correctional Institution in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The title is taken from a talent show put on by the hospital's inmates. (The talent show was named after the Wampanoag word for the nearby Taunton River.) In 1967 the film won awards in Germany and Italy. Wiseman made a number of such films examining social institutions (e.g. hospitals, police, schools, etc.) in the United States.
Titicut Follies portrays the existence of occupants of Bridgewater, some of them catatonic, holed up in unlit cells, and only periodically washed. It also depicts inmates / patients required to strip naked publicly, force feeding, and indifference and bullying on the part of many of the institution's staff.
Warning: Contains disturbing footage.

Another birthday down and closer to the inevitable. Getting older sucks :)
Anyhow a little gift to people that may stumble across this blog.
couple movie sites I use regularly instead of dealing with the annoyance of television where every show has about 1000 commercials, or flipping channels and coming across news channels that no longer deal in news but opinion.
free registration, great bunch of folks
has links to direct downloads off megaupload or
use the greasemonkey firefox plugin with their ice script to stream.
another great movie forum but believe registration is closed for the
moment. Keep checking back.
between those and torrents, pretty much all ya need to abandon network television.

There has always been a huge and simple workaround to verifying as an adult in Second Life. Many times people have made bug reports and forum posts only to be ignored or their posts deleted. But the workaround is so simplistic it's really funny and embarrassingly easy.
So you want to verify your second life account as adult. All you have to do is go to this website:
It contains the entire Social Security Death Index. Go to that site and for example just pick any old name off the top of your head. For this example we will find a name at random.
Lets use "John Stone" a name we chose at random, now type in John Stone on that site and click Submit you will get the following results:
Now using this we get a legitimate Name, City, State, Birthday, and Social Security number.
Now just enter this information into the adult verification screen on Second Life's site and your account will become adult verified!
You would think after years of people showing, explaining, and bug reporting this to Second Life they would resolve to fix this. Especially since they will be merging the teen grid with the adult grid soon. But nope, ever since Second Life has been, also this bug has as well.

Update 8/22/10: Movieplex is back up, regular members of the moviplex should be able to login now.
Update: Most of the movieplex members have migrated to http://amazingmoviez.com which was previously under the domain demonflicks.com but moved to new domain name.
Seems Movieplex.org is down at the moment, more than likely could be due to hosting issues. They have had issues in the past with their webhosting company and this could seemingly be a repeat.
Updated info posted July 26, 2010 from the movieplex twitter http://twitter.com/movieplex_forum
We hope to be back soon. Keep us in your thoughts and check in often. Your fiendish Helltown cousins, moose & panamenaii 8:33 PM Jul 26th via webUpdated info posted August 6, 2010 from the movieplex twitter

Been quiet really, haven't had much to update, other than keeping a few of the old posts here updated with new links as they die. Been debating purchasing a domain and perhaps moving the site over or creating something new. Just haven't made the choice yet.
Anyhow nothing new at the moment.
If you are interesting watching movies and joining a great small community forum come check us out at http://www.movieplex.org where you won't be bothered with ads, scams, and crap, just a great group of people and good place to hang out and watch movies.
Until next time, hope you're having a great summer.

Eve Online released their latest expansion lately which introduces planetary interaction. The new features will allow players to create what was previously "npc commodities" and moves Eve more toward a truly 100% player driven market.
There are still some bumps to work out, and curious if CCP will be removing npc items that are still seeded that competes (interferes) with the new player created commodities from planetary interaction.
Anyhow still fun to have something shiny and new to play with.
Here are couple screenshots of my small attempts at testing out the new planetary features.
Zoomed out view of one of my setups
View of a basic industry facility
View of one of the storage facilities
This may not be the most ideal setup as there are many different ways you can setup your colony. But the method to my madness at least in this first test is I am running 3 extractors that then feed into a storage facility. Then I feed my first stage storage facility into the basic industrial facility, I take this output and feed it into the second stage storage facility. Each "arm" of my colony is setup that way. Then the final stage of each "arm" feeds into the launchpad.
Will have to see how well this setup performs. My idea is that having the storage facility between the extractors and the industrial facility will provide a buffer so there is no waste and it constantly can feed the industrial facility.
Anyhow it is an interesting expansion to say the least.
Update: I did remove the final storage facility so that at the moment my setup is now extractors (as many as you can support) feed into a storage facility that then feeds into the basic industrial facility then the output of that goes directly to launchpad since it holds 10000m3. Having that storage after the industrial facility i found to be redundant. Still a lot of learning to do though for optimum setups.

I had originally posted on my blog last year with links to streaming the Howard Stern show online. Recently a few of the sources have disappeared, but was pretty nice they lasted over a year anyhow. There are a couple live streams that have popped up as well as couple archive streams and daily download options. I have updated the original blog post from last year.
You can find my original blog post with updated links and information here:
Feel free to bookmark that link instead of this one, I will add sources as I can and try to keep it fairly updated the best I can.
I've been a member of the Movieplex since 2008 and I highly recommend it. The forums are great, the community is great, and links stay fresh and updated.
Sections for technical issues that people may have, as well as section called the arcade for great time killers with flash games.

Well as the title of this post says I have finally caved in and purchased an Ipod Touch. I picked up what is being called the 3rd generation model 32 gig capacity version. And it is really neat, although being a pc guy I was a bit worried about Itunes and all it's possible aggravations.
I decided to just install Itunes on my windows 7 laptop instead of my desktop which still runs Windows XP sp2 at the moment. Since I will be in the future replacing and upgrading to a newer desktop system I felt just using the laptop to sync and run Itunes would be best.
The battery life for gaming on the Ipod touch is crappy at best I have noticed. In 3d games with wifi/push and all the extras turned off I get roughly 1 hour 40 minutes of game time before the battery needs recharging. Playing music and nothing else it seems to get up to 28-30 hours.
I did find a couple really neat external batteries if one chose to use that increases battery time a whole lot.
There are 2 models one is the IMP500 a 5000ma external battery pack that delivers 400% longer battery time. Up to 38 hours of movies/internet/etc.
The other model is the IMP880 is a 8800ma external battery pack that delivers 600% longer battery time. Up to 50 hours of movies/internet/etc.
So if you really need a longer time for gaming, internet use, etc then these 2 are pretty good solutions the IMP500 is on sale at the moment for $45.95 and the IMP880 going for $85.95
Anyhow lot more playing around and finding good apps for my new toy. But I may look into purchasing an external battery pack for those extended periods of time away from a convenient charger

Finally back home after 1 month and 1 week of motel living after the house fire. Posing a little late, since I've been back about 4 days now but been unpacking, getting things set back up, furniture moved back in, etc.
It's glad to be home, and glad no longer hemorrhaging lots of money on a motel. Little over $1000 spent on motel, food, gas. Now time to recoup losses and get back on track.
Just thought I'd update the blog...

Haven't posted much in a while, had a bit of a disaster over the holidays. Had an electrical fire at my house that started in the ceiling at a junction box that was situated above the breaker box in the Kitchen. Luckily even though it happened really late at night I happened to be awake at that moment when the breaker flipped and smelled burning wires.
So the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. 911 was called and the fire department removed the power meter to the house and tried not to do too much water damage by lightly spraying the area in the ceiling. Unfortunately the ceiling in my living room has to be torn down and replaced since due to the water it started sagging a bit. And the house will need rewiring.
So for last couple weeks so far I have been living out of a motel using motel wifi for net access. The Red Cross nicely put me in a motel for 3 nights free, but the landlord said that repairs could take up to a month and might go over just a tad. So now paying out of pocket per week on a motel which is expensive but it's about all I can do at the moment.
Anyhow just wanted to post an update since it had been a while. Hopefully things can soon get back to normal.
