Great Documentary on Nikola Tesla

Came across this great documentary of famed scientist Nikola Tesla who I find just absolutely amazing how far ahead of his times he truly was. This documentary goes into his experiments with free energy, scalar, wireless energy, experiments in weather modification, and even particle beam weaponry that is now being used by today's governments even though Tesla was deemed a "Kook" in his time.

Teacher fired for "Wizardry"???

Ok, I usually surf web and come across weird news stories but this one has got to be the weirdest so far.

Teacher from Pasco county Florida was fired for "Wizardry" this week. A quote from the article goes on to say:

Substitute teacher Jim Piculas made a toothpick disappear, then reappear in front of a classroom at Rushe Middle School in Land O' Lakes, Florida. The Pasco County School District says there were several other performance issues, but none compared to his "wizardry."

"I get a call the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue. You can't take any more assignments. You need to come in right away.' I said, 'Well, Pat, can you explain this to me?' 'You've been accused of wizardry,'" Piculas explained.

Been very busy

I've been very busy this week with work on my house getting new windows installed/framed, and have had a couple meetings phone and in person with my disability attorney getting things organized and waiting to get a court date. And of course doctors appointment this week, was supposed to be tomorrow but forgot to call in the appointment today so that will have to be done tomorrow.

Also in the world of gaming some bad news for those I represented as Heretic teamlead in dark age of camelot. I am no longer able to be the class teamlead and will cut and paste what I have posted on the Heretic Forum I also run which can be located at http://camelot.bluecherry.net

I'm so thankful and privileged for the time I had being the team lead. We have gotten some great changes that were long overdue and I've fought tooth and nail for us. A big thanks to everyone that supplied me logs, screenshots, bug info, etc. It's the community that ultimately got us where we are today. So again I want to say thank you to the heretic community for helping me and this class be as good as it should be.

There is still things left undone that I wish I could be done, but they will have to be taken up by a new leader who will champion our class for us. Never lose faith in your teamleads, I do see the sarcasm that does occur, but we are in there fighting and petitioning the cause at every chance we get for the players and our classes.

I'm not sure what the future has in store for me, I will be willing to update any new teamleads on what I had in mind and the stuff I was looking at if they would be interested.

I want to thank Roadkillinz the previous teamlead for helping me get situated when I first became teamlead and has helped us and supported several of the issues I brought forth to the devs.

I do not plan to take the Heretic Forums down, I will leave it up as long as needed. Also if any of you do become teamlead and would like to use this forum on occasion please feel free and let me know and I can add you as an admin if you want.

Guys, its been a fun ride, and although a bit saddened and how things didn't go exactly as planned and all this happened a bit quicker than I wanted, but I hope that in the community's eyes I did some good for the heretic and that I won't be seen as a "lame duck" teamleader but as someone who loved the class and fought for us.

Again thank you to everyone, the heretic community is the best! And never change! It takes all types to make a community and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The Heretic community has been awesome!

Weekend coming

Hello everyone, I haven't updated the blog in a little while, not been feeling well. Having a problem with a pinched nerve that just wants to be a major pain in the arse...

Anyhow some updates on my disability stuff, I finally now officially have an attorney and have had a couple phone interviews with them, they were wanting me to come into their office. But they are about 2 hours from me, so they've let me do phone interviews for now.

The bad news is they've told me it could be anywhere from 3 months to 1 year before I can get a court date to prove my disability. So the bills pile up higher and things will probably get a lot tougher before things start looking up. Of course hopefully my attorney can finally get things going for me and maybe much faster I hope.

Well thats enough dreary news... Got some home renovation coming up this coming week, this old house I live in which was built back in the 70's is having problem with the windows. The old window frames seem to be getting a little brittle, so this Monday got some workers coming in to replace the windows in the house. Which will be a nice addition.

Anyhow that's about it for now, hopefully everyone will have a great weekend!

Personal update...

Well yesterday had an appointment with my disability mediator and signed a ton of papers and will be assigned an attorney for the next phase of my trip down disability lane. The amount of red tape and legal mess to go through is absolutely insane. I had to sign about 20 papers, fill out about 10 and go through yet another interview process. Then we discussed what to expect with the attorney, fees and all.

So that is where it's at now. Now once again I get to play the waiting game... Hopefully this time it will go a little faster.

Anyhow not the greatest of news but not the worst, the weekend was good, although started yesterday when I woke up I now have a sore throat which was worse this morning so been using some throat spray (generic chloroseptic). So my last couple days have really sucked.

But here's hoping things get better as the week progresses. By the way hope everyone had a great and funny April Fool's day. I really loved Google's Virgle and clicking on any featured videos on youtube.com got you "rickrolled".

Well it's been 1 year since I started the blog, and this is also the 1 year anniversary of my heart attack. Quite a moment of reflection... A lot of new things have come and old habits have gone. I learned that we are not promised another day, and that it can all be over in a blink of an eye. It's been a really scary time and to some extent it still is.

I've also learned of all the government red tape regarding disability and SSI. It's been hell and been through 2 denials and working on a 3rd appeal and going to court over the whole mess. So wish me luck at least.

It's been a year of good music, weird news stories and occasional updates on real life, and hopefully can keep things going for yet another year. To some this may be the epitome of boring, but at least it gives me place to jot down thoughts and post some interesting and cool stuff from time to time.

For those that have read through the pages, thanks for coming a long, and hope you will occasionally visit in the future.

And as usual the weekend approaches so everyone have a great weekend!

This was a funny yet disturbing news article I ran across this week. A new bride in China burned her new husband alive for refusing to wash his feet.

A Chinese bride burned her new husband to death after he got into bed after a drunken argument without washing his feet, state media reported on Wednesday.

Was reading about Pakistan's move to block Youtube content which led to all sorts of problems. Of course what governments that try to block specific content on the internet do not realize is the ease of bypassing these restrictions. There are thousands of anonymous proxy services online, as well as Http/TCP/UDP tunneling applications that make such restrictions laughable.

There is no use in trying to censor the internet or forcing a nation's people to try to conform to some ideology or "code of conduct". The people will always find ways around censorship, it's too easy and programmers/software will always be one step ahead of the bureaucrats.

Anyhow, not only was Pakistan trying to block Youtube, but inadvertently caused a huge outage across the world to Youtube.

An Internet expert likened the cause of the outage to "identity theft" by a Pakistani telecommunications company, which accidentally started advertising itself as the fastest route to YouTube.

911 Spammer Arrested.

Surfing web this evening came across an odd bit of news. Guy out of California was arrested for making more than 27,000 calls to 911 emergency service on his cellphone.

HAYWARD, Calif. - Authorities have arrested a prolific 911 cell phone caller who is believed to have made more than 27,000 emergency calls, overwhelming California Highway Patrol and Hayward 911 systems.

The 911 calls started flooding in last May. The caller responded to emergency operators with bodily noises, muttering and pressing beep tones.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just thought I'd toss an update on the blog. Not really much to update with. As far as health goes still waiting to hear from disability, in March it will make 1 year since I first applied. The red tape to go through is insane and aggravating. This April will mark 1 year since my heart attack, good news is I'm still here (so far), the bad news is having one in the first place, and the mountain of bills and bill collectors that have drove me crazy over the year.

Anyhow, it's the usual same old stuff around here. Well this post turned out to be a small downer but ah well...

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend, and hopefully will have some new video or funky news article next post.

It's been a really slow start to the new years, I had my monthly Doctors appointment on the 7th, and got good news and bad news as usual. Good news is he has changed my monthly appointment to every other month now in part to help save on cost, $50 a visit gets tough when ya don't have it. Bad news is I still need a sleep study due to very bad sleep apnea but can't find anyone to do one due to no insurance. My disability case has now moved into 2nd phase of the appeal process and I was notified I have a new 'adjudicator' now. So crossing fingers... That will help so much if it goes through.

Anyhow to change the subject onto more lighter matters, found a song I had totally forgot about but was pretty much a 1 hit wonder from the 90's. It's a break with the normal music I post on my site but still a good song anyhow. This is Breeders with Cannonball
